Residents of West Marin were invited to learn what’s necessary in order to install a rooftop rainwater catchment system on your property. WMCA’s pilot water catchment project offers:
-An online workshop to learn about water catchment tank choices
-Option to arrange for FREE on-site consultation
-Possible purchase of catchment tanks at the contractor's discount rate.
In collaboration with local plumbing systems specialist Ben Eastman, West Marin Climate Action presented a nuts-and-bolts workshop. Find out what’s needed in order to install a gravity-feed system at your home that can supplement your annual water supply through the dry season for garden and landscaping irrigation.
During this virtual event, participants were informed of an opportunity to arrange for Ben’s free on-site consultation (for residents in the limited geographic area of Point Reyes Station, Olema, Inverness Park and Inverness).
Participants will learn:
-Is your home site well suited for a new system, including a catchment tank and rooftop hardware?
-What additional site modifications may be necessary?
-What size catchment tank(s) make the most sense for your needs?
